Douglas County Public Libraries Closing for a week!

Parker Library (10851 South Crossroads Drive, 303-841-3503) will be closed Tuesday, May 16 through Monday, May 22.

The Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock (100 South Wilcox Street, 303-688-7700) will be closed Wednesday, May 24 through Wednesday, May 31.

Limited Onsite Services and Scheduled Programs Available...

Onsite services still available during the closures include holds pickup, activities and events scheduled in the meeting rooms (please call ahead to confirm before attending an event), answering circulation questions and reference phone calls, and other helpful customer service. In addition, the Philip S. Miller Library will also be closed on Friday, May 19 for Staff Development Day.

The following programs will still be held at Parker Library during the May 16-22 closure: Dungeons & Dragons (5/16 at 6 pm,) “Who’s for Dinner? (5/18 at 4 pm,) Douglas County Libraries Board of Trustees Meeting (5/18 at 7 pm,) On the Road Bicycle Repair ((5/20 at 10 am,) Parker Writers (5/21 at 2 pm). Please call ahead to confirm before attending an event: 303-841-3503

The following programs will still occur at the Philip S. Miller Library during the May 24-31 closure: Horse Club (5/24 from 5:30 to 7 pm,) PJ Storytime (5/25 at 7 pm,) and The Page to Stage Production of Miss Nelson is Missing (5/31 at 6:30 pm). You Can Help!
Douglas County Libraries is also seeking volunteers to help with the library district’s RFID tagging system. For more information, or to volunteer, please contact Paula Standen at 303-688-7632 or pstanden@dclibraries.org. Volunteers gain new job skills, personal growth, and community involvement. Volunteer hours can be used for high school graduation requirements or to fulfill community service obligations.
